Beautiful, Well-Made Chess Set That My Kids Couldn’t Put Down
Fantastic chess set! It looks much more expensive than it is, with quality felt details and a board that folds up for easy storage. The magnets are just strong enough to keep the pieces in place when moving the board without making them difficult to play with. My kids played with it all weekend and loved it. Beautiful set, great price, and highly recommend!

What is a good quality wooden chess set?
Look for a board that lies flat, pieces in the Staunton pattern with felted bases, and storage that holds each piece separately so nothing chips. Magnets or weighting are a bonus. All of our chess sets are built to that list.
What size chess board is standard?
Tournament boards have squares of 2 to 2.5 inches. For home play, a 15-inch folding board is the most popular size; 12-inch suits children and small tables, and 10-inch is a travel size.
Are magnetic chess sets worth it?
If the board will ever leave the house, or share a table with small children or a cat, yes. The magnets keep a position intact without changing how the game plays.
Why do AMEROUS sets include extra queens?
Because pawns promote. With two spare queens in the box, a player can have a second queen on the board without borrowing a rook.
